Last week I got to do something a little different — I got to teach a class for MarkLogic University, the training group within the company. It’s been years since I last got to formally teach a class, but I really enjoyed it. No homework to grade, no tests to come up with, just time spent with hands-on training. There are a couple things I’d like to do differently if the opportunity comes up again, but overall I think it went pretty well.
The unifying theme of this blog is a lesson I was taught a long time ago: you know you understand something when you can explain it to somebody else. Teaching a three day class is a bunch of that all put together. But I learned a few things myself and got some fodder for more blog posts — stay tuned.
